Yes. The app is free. We may add optional premium features later, and we will explain the value clearly.
A Bluesky account lives on an open network. Posts are public by default and portable across apps that use the AT Protocol. It is great for reach and discovery.
A boopstr account is private first. You decide who sees your pet’s story. You also get boopstr-only communities, memorials, and finer privacy controls.
You can use either. You can also link the two together. Share to Bluesky when you want a public social wall and broader reach, or keep things inside boopstr.
It is a public page of your posts on the open Bluesky network. Anyone can view it, and it may appear in search and in community feeds that use the AT Protocol.
You are always in control. You can post inside boopstr only, or you can also publish to your social wall on Bluesky. You can change this per post or in settings.
Remember that Bluesky is public by default. Posts shared to Bluesky can be copied by other apps and services that use the AT Protocol.
